Another Little Porky From Blair?

The most unlikely statement of the whole emerging saga of lies and cover up surrounding the Stockwell shooting came from Sir Ian Blair the other day, when he said that on hearing that his men had executed an innocent man, he thought, 'That's dreadful. What are we going to do about that?'

Unless receiving a knighthood automatically transfers ones brain and intellect into a state where the thought and speech process only operates in the language of the cheap and flowery fiction writer, I would suggest that what he really thought was 'Oh FUCK, we're in the shit now. How do we get out of this one?'

Contradicting a statement yesterday morning denying any offer of money to the de Menezes family had been made, Scotland Yard admitted yesterday evening that an ex gratia payment of £15,000 had been offered.

I wouldn't like to be accused of something and have any of that lot standing up in court to give evidence against me.

Comments:
This wasn't an execution dickhead, it was a mistake. We all feel terribly sorry for the man who lost his life, but put it into context. The police have a thankless job to do, made even more difficult by pricks like yourself and in the aftermath of an attempt by the ragheads to MURDER even more people in London, a mistake was inevitable.
The police were tired, overworked and completely hyped up. I don't know the circumstances behind the incident, but more importantly, neither do you.

Whatever you may think, the police in our country do not "execute" people.
Go and crawl back into the hole you came from. I wouldn't be surprised if you are a fan of that other prick George Gallowy.

A Brit (and proud of the fact)

If Anon had the guts to not be anonymous, he might be worthy of the term Brit. Instead I will call him Little Englander.

If Little Englander possessed an attention span longer than a two year old he could easily have checked out my opinion of George Galloway. I've said plenty about him on this blog.

I have also said plenty in previous posts on my opinions of anonymous cowards, but I didn't have to lower myself to their standards by calling them pricks, much as I might like to.

Thanks anyway, Little Englander, for your comments.

Wow, I see you have obscene idiots over there too. I suspect that the majority of them are so angry because of their sexual inadequacy and small penis size. It even overrides their inferior mental capacity.

The high road wins.

Thanks Elizabeth. Best comment yet, and I agree entirely.
That'll keep me giggling for an hour or three.

I quite agree Colcam, I wouldn't trust the police as far as I could throw them. They've quite obviously lied, and then attempted to cover up their lies following the murder of Jean Charles de Menezes.

And what's all this "mistake" stuff about? This was a murder. If a member of the public held someone down while some of their friends shot an innocent victim several times in the head, then they would be guilty of murder. If people they knew then lied about that murder afterwards they would be taken in by the police and questioned.

The police quite obviously believe that they are above the law, and apparently are giving murderers family holidays now.

Ian Blair should resign, all those responsible for murdering Mr de Menezes should be slung into cells, not be given holidays.

what possible benefit is there in Ian Blair resigning?

the cops have made a balls-up, fair enough, and got the wrong man.

but is it really a sackable offence to be misinformed by your own staff?

and if he did go, what 'victory' would that achieve?

The point is anonymous, Ian Blair stood up and stated that it was definitely a terrorist suspect who had been shot, there was no doubt about it, if you believed what he said.

If it were upto Ian Blair then the IPCC wouldn't be investigating Jean Charles de Menezes murder at all, and the police would have had some hushed up internal inquiry, where the innocence of Jean Charles would have most likely still been questioned.

Considering that this was an innocent man who was murdered, and the Met Police tried to prevent an investigation from taking place, while still claiming the man tried to run from them after being warned, I think that it is right that Ian Blair should resign, in light of all the above, how many more innocents will have to die if not? And how can you believe the words of Ian Blair after all the lies?

Ian Blair is a threat to our national security now because of the loss of trust in him.

i agree with both the anonymouses.

we are being attaacked by terrorists.
mistakes will, unfortunately, happen.

get over it.

"execution?"

grow up and get a job away from selling socialist worker outside your student union, dickhead

I get so tired of myopia when it comes to supporting criminal bungling. You anonymous guys probably agree with Pat Robertson on his suggestion to assassinate Hugo Chavez. Anonymous #3, of course you agree with Anonymous #1. You're the same person!

Thanks All for the comments - but I'm confused. It's late and I haven't got time tonite to give a proper reply. Got to be up again in less than 3 hours.

I will reply tomorrow night, I promise, but keep the comments coming.

Thanks again meantime.

Anonymous, I will assume you are all the one person. As you are anonymous, and cannot conduct a rational conversation without resorting to insulting name calling, you can expect no more than being lumped in with every other unoriginal crank that thinks being offensive to others is a way to make a point they don't have the intellect to put over to us poor "dickheads".

I was going to continue here to answer your comments about Blair and why he should resign, but I know it would be a waste of my time - instead be grateful I have acknowledged your existence at all.

I invite you to comment again on this blog, this time to try to explain to everyone why you don't have sufficient confidence in yourself and your views to be someone who really exists outside anonymity. Come on man, come out of the closet. Be brave for once.

Hi to you, Voice 1. Thanks for your points, and for visiting this humble and rather shambolic blog. I hope you will look in again, despite the jibes of Anonymous - I presume some of the jibes were aimed at you, but I guess no one is spared when Anon gets going.

I do believe we are at a point when the police think they are, or should be, above the law. What a scary prospect. Thousands of Anonymous in uniforms!!! :)

Anyway, your views are nicely put, and I agree with you on all points.

Thanks, Voice1, hope to hear from you again.

Elizabeth, Hi.

What can I say? You have a way of just getting it right and slaying us all - except, I suspect, Anon.

Thank you, and keep 'em coming, friend.
