It's PC World Wot's To Blame.
All right, all right already - DON'T SHOUT. I know the posts have been irregular, unreliable, hit and miss and even non-existent. I'm not pleased about it either. Go sue PC WORLD 'cos it's all their fault.
The Mac I borrowed is fine - except for blogging. Internet Exploder on the aging operating system OS 9 doesn't like Blogger, or vice versa, and the one or two posts I did manage were excruciatingly painful to produce. One section of each post had to be done on Exploder, and another part on the equally crap Netscape. When I got to the point of actually pressing the publish button, everything appeared twice on the blog and I had to quickly come offline, run downstairs, go online with the Mongrels Windozy thing (do you know how much that hurts?) and delete the duplicate copy of each post.
And my Powerbook is still sitting here unfixed. But things are looking up, because on Friday a huge truck, and I mean a HUGE truck, arrived at the house and its huge driver, after rummaging noisily around in the back of the truck for a full five minutes, came to the door carrying an empty box which had come all the way from Holland. I have to insert the Mac into this empty box and phone the owners of the huge truck, who will send it back to my door and deliver the box, with my laptop, to somewhere at the other end of Britain.
Never mind inserting my 12 inch Mac in a box. Give me two minutes with the Managing Director of PC World, and I could insert it straight up his.......
But the asshole would probably enjoy it.
