Lockerbie - Another Miscarriage Of Justice?

The evidence of a forensic scientist at the trial of Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, the so called Lockerbie bomber, has been called into question after three other men in different cases before and after Lockerbie had their convictions quashed.

Now a former Scottish police chief has come forward with a claim that evidence was planted by the CIA. This supports a statement previously made by a former CIA agent that his bosses "wrote the script" to incriminate Libya.

If al-Megrahi wins his freedom in the light of the new evidence and the many doubts which appear to be emerging, should anyone really be surprised? Other high profile injustices include the Guildford Four, the Birmingham Six, the Cardiff Three, Robert Brown from Glasgow, the Ice Cream Wars, George Kelly, hanged in 1950, Ruth Ellis, the last woman to be hanged in Britain, the Carl Bridgewater paperboy murder, and Derek Bentley, who was hanged in 1953. Very recently we had the Sally Clark case.

Enough? Unfortunately there are many more that I have not mentioned.

I wonder if there is really such a thing as British Justice.
