Labour Or Nazi Party Conference In Brighton?
The annual conference of the Labour Party in Brighton descended into something more akin to what might be expected from the Nazi Party, with the disgraceful spectacle of an 82 year old man being manhandled and ejected from the conference hall during a speech by Foreign Secretary Jack Straw.
Walter Wolfgang, a Labour Party member for 57 years, escaped Nazi Germany in 1937. They caught up with him in Brighton in 2005 after he heckled Straw during his speech. After taking him from the hall, police detained him for a short time using, wait for it....... powers under the Terrorism Act!
Same day - same place, and Austin Mitchell, Member of Parliament for Great Grimsby was taking photographs of queues outside the conference centre. Stewards called the police, and his pictures were deleted.
Heil New Labour.
