Thanks Mushsis and Elektrofly. When the weather here gets unbearable I go hide in a corner and play with stuff like this.

I mentioned "photoshopped" in a comment above - and realized how it's entered the language as a general word for manipulating images. Actually this was done with Corel's professional Painter 9, not Photoshop at all.
