Government Defeated In House Of Lords Over ID Card Scheme.

The government has been defeated in the Lords as peers said the controversial ID cards scheme could not go ahead until its full costs were revealed.

Amen for that. Not such a bunch of daft old fuddy duddies after all, it would seem.

I'll just send them a bill for my biological info - I'm sure they won't be able to afford it - if they could they could gladly have it ha ha.

Also this just highlights why Labour are trying to do away with the House of Lords. Imagine (shudder). They may be fuddy duddies but they stand between us and fascisim.

You're not wrong there Kats. There was a time when I used to think the Lords should be abolished completely - how wrong was that?
