Saddam In A Huff - Trial Goes On Without Him.
The trial of Saddam Hussein has resumed with a new chief judge in place, Raouf Abdel-Rahman, who quickly made it clear that his court was not the place for political speeches.
Within minutes, Saddam's former intelligence chief, Barzan al-Tikriti, was kicked out after he called the trial "a daughter of a whore".
Soon after that Saddam told the judge that he wanted to leave.
Then leave," said the judge.
"It is a tragedy. I led you for 35 years. How can you lead me out of court?" Saddam asked.
"You wanted to leave," the judge replied.
So he did, and the trial resumed without the defence team, Saddam or any of the defendants.

Unfortunately, after the criticism of the previous judge for being too lenient in allowing Saddam to rave on, in the interests of being seen to be fair, this judge will be accused of bias against the defendants.
Maybe it would be better to have the former dictator present in court, put up with his speeches - then hang him when everybody gets thoroughly bored with listening to him.

i read about that. i can't believe how arrogant and tyrannical this guy is. not that i believe anyone should cater to him, but maybe we SHOULD move the trial...to texas. not only is it bush's home state, but i think they lead the pack when it comes to capital punishment.
Hi Sarkasmo.
I believe Texas does lead the pack, and when it does come to "the pack', I should mention that there is no capital punishment in the UK, and I personally hope there never is again.
However, as far as Bush is concerned....... I would consider an exception.
My regards to you, by the way.

I'm not hip to capital punishment, but I certainly don't think Saddam should be allowed to live in comfort. I'm glad someone else has to make these decisions.
And to answer your questions, Lasik surgery is that newfangled procedure where they shoot frickin laser beams into your eyes to correct your vision so that you don't need glasses (or in Ma's case, don't need glasses in such a strong prescription or as often). Borg implants were a joke and referred to the cyborg enemy race/army in Star Trek. They're, whatsit, biomechanical robots or something, and they have these green or red laser beams that shoot out of their eyes.
