A Whale Of A Time For Traffic Wardens.

Rescue charity workers who battled in vain to save the whale found swimming up the River Thames are now facing a bill of more than £300 in parking fines.

Members of the British Divers Marine Rescue Group involved in the attempted rescue of the whale parked their marked vehicles on meters before going aboard a rescue barge. Obviously that meant they were gone for some time, so the meters ran out.

A perfect opportunity for the mental midgets of our time, the traffic wardens, to amply display their contempt for common sense or decency by slapping tickets on the vehicles.

Oh "mental midgets" LOVE IT -must remember that for future use.

Still no side bar Colin

Thanks Kats.

Maybe I'm a mental midget too if I'm the ONLY one seeing my sidebar! Maybe I only THINK I see it - am I over the edge at last? Is this what too much black tea, strong ciggies and Cup Cakes do to my brain?

Am I sitting here in glorious isolation in the place God forgot to finish and SEEING things?

Em....... Probably.

First of all who is this God person.

I looked on someone elses computer and it still wasn't there.

If you look on my Blog for the link to Andromeda, she has also had this problem but somehow she's fixed it - e-mail her and ask - I'm afraid I'm the mental midget when it comes to things like this.

There again.......perhaps it's me who is hallucinating.

holy shit!

was the whale alright?

man, meter maids are fucking RUTHLESS...

i have been issued a ticket while i was getting into my car, because the meter expired right as i came up to it and the meter mister was standing there waiting on it. it's like they make a commission-based salary.

Yeah, that was pretty bad.

Hi Elektrofly. Indeed, meter people are strange creatures - they take being complete bastards so seriously.

Kats - don't worry. God? Mere figure of speech. Easier than writing "the place Highland Council forgot to finish".
