Strike.
More than one million council workers are striking over pensions, closing schools, libraries and sports centres across the UK, say the trades unions.
In Scotland, Public Service Reform Minister Tom McCabe said he was "disappointed" by the action taken by workers over proposed changes to pension rights.
I'm sure he is - and I'm sure he will be again when the next action takes place.

I have to say, I'm not really behind the strikers on this one. It's wrong to lump "public sector workers" together - you can't compare firemen's jobs with desk jockey's jobs for a start. And the other thing is, why should I pay more for these people's pensions when I'm struggling to pay for my own as well?
It's time some people faced reality - money is in short supply.

Thanks Byronb.
You could look at it that way, but I value my binman and the lady that cleans the toilets in the local hospital just as highly as my firefighter.
