National Security Agency Peering Through Windows At The Vista.

'Yes, we have collaborated withthe National Security Agency, the most secretive of all U.S. intelligence services, in the development of our new VISTA operating system.'”

Not that anyone could accuse me of being cynical, of course, but anyone who buys a Windozy operating system with a potential 'Big Brother Inside' deserves to be hauled off to Guantanamo.

But then Apple is by no means secure either, although whether they have actively collaborated with the NSA in the development of OSX is unclear.

Using Tor can help anonymity to some extent, but if that's not enough I'll see you in Cuba - easily recognizable in my rather fetching orange jumpsuit.

When I win the lottery, I'll replace our computers with Macs and Macbooks. Until I'm rich, however, I'm stuck with the PCs we purchased (mine) and built from scratch (his, and it should be noted that Macs can't be bought and built piecemeal like that).

Hi Kristen. I have a PC here which we built from scratch, and it certainly is cheaper than buying any flavour of Mac which, as you say, has to be purchased whole, rather than as individual components.

However, the PC here is running on Linux, which sells at the great price of FREE!

It's more secure, it's more fun, and while it's perhaps not as easy to set up as Windozy, it does most things better, and isn't as difficult to use as some make out.

PC's are just as good as Macs (nearly) as long as Microsoft stays off them.
