George Galloway's Speech On Iraq.

On the 26th of January I highlighted George Galloway's remarkable speech to the House of Commons during the debate on Iraq, but watching it is far better.

'A powerful speech highlighting the appalling situation in Iraq, and the pathetic handling of it by the British government: Ill-equipped troops, brutal treatment of civilians, and support for death squads: Welcome to democracy, Bush & Blair style!'

That was indeed a moving speech. Speaking from an outsider's perspective (sadly, I know nothing about UK government), that was a very well-presented case against the meddling of foreign forces in Lebanese and Iraqi "government". There were maybe too many pop culture references, though.

Thanks Kristen - we can't cope without our pop culture - and what you don't know about our government is probably a blessing.

They just suck!

Enjoyed this, seriously useful post for me: see here http://strikethirteen.blogspot.com/2007/02/politics-web-20.html and I did link you!
Cheers.

Donald MacLean, thank you for that.
